How it works
Our process is simple and designed to support students with SEN. We provide calm, practical tutoring that focuses on your child's specific needs, whether for subject knowledge or study skills. Sessions run both online or in-person across England and Wales.

Michaela is an excellent Tutor. She tutored my son in English language after he got a grade 3 at GCSE. He needed a 5 to get onto his college course and with Michaela's help he got a 6! He hates English and has SEN: Autism, ADHD, and Tourettes, and she was brilliant keeping him engaged. She explained what the questions wanted him to do and how to analyse a text, which he never understood how to do before. Worth every penny! He is now starting a degree apprenticeship after going to college to do his level 3 civil engineering course. He would not be there if he didn't have Michaela's help. We're very grateful. Sunbeam provides specialist SEN tutoring for primary, secondary and university students, including those with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, anxiety, and related learning differences. We help with core subjects, study skills, confidence, and executive function (organisational skills).
Every tutor is interviewed, safeguarding-trained, insured, and holds an Enhanced DBS certificate. Through our online platform of carefully selected tutors, you can find a specialist who understands their needs, communicates clearly, and works in partnership with your family.
Yes. We teach online, and in person in selected areas. Tutors will teach at the student’s home, and an in-person travel fee of £15 applies where available.
Yes. We teach exam techniques, help students plan their revision, and support them with anxiety. We can advise on Access Arrangements and provide lesson evidence. Final decisions rest with the school or exam centre.
Sessions are one-to-one and 50 minutes. A recurring plan is £72–£108 per session (save 10%), one-off sessions are £80–£120, and a travel fee of £15 applies for in-person lessons. You can cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours in advance, and pause sessions for up to two weeks. A free 20-minute introduction is included to get started.
